Myth & Roid (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese pop rock band centered effectually Tom-H@ck (guitars, bass, composer, production) and hotaru (keyboards, lyrics, story planning), featuring multiple vocalists.[two] The band made its debut in 2015 with the release of its kickoff single "L.50.50". The band'southward music has been featured in various anime serial such as Overlord, Boogiepop wa Warawanai (2019), BBK/BRNK, Saga of Tanya the Evil, Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered simply Overly Cautious, Fabricated in Abyss, Isekai Crook Magician and Re:Goose egg − Starting Life in Another Globe.

According to the band'southward official website, its name comes from 2 words: "myth" representing the past, and "android" representing the hereafter; the ring hopes that these 2 aspects volition permit the creation of "a new world".[three]

The ring debuted with Mayu Maeshima on vocals in 2015, with the release of its starting time single "L.L.Fifty" (Leashed Luminous Honey); the ending theme to the 2015 anime tv series Overlord. The single peaked at No. 29 on the Oricon weekly charts,[four] and reached a ranking of No. 3 on iTunes' Japanese download rankings.[three]

The ring's second single "ANGER/ANGER" was released on February 24, 2016; the title track is used equally the ending theme to the 2016 anime television receiver series BBK/BRNK. In December 2019, it was announced that the band's best anthology MUSEUM–THE All-time OF MYTH & ROID– would be released on March iv, 2020. The song "FOREVER LOST" was included every bit new vocal and used every bit the ending theme to the film Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul [22] while "Croaky Black" was also included in the anthology and used as Overlord mobile game "MASS FOR THE Dead" first anniversary theme song.

The album was released on Oct 28th, 2020. This was their first digital worldwide release. They as well opened an Official YouTube Channel called MYTH & ROID Official Channel.

In March 2021, they announced a collaboration song with Honkai Bear upon 3rd to gloat the 3rd anniversary of the global version. The preview of the new song "BRILLIANT BRIGHT" was shown on the anniversary special video past miHoYo, uploaded on Honkai Impact 3rd official YouTube Channel, featuring various female person characters from the game with a bunny apparel. The total song was pre-released on March 31, 2021, on the official full MV by miHoYo.

"BRILLIANT BRIGHT" was released worldwide on April seventh, 2021, on streaming platforms.

In May 2021, KIHOW announced that she was in accuse of the theme songs of a new Japanese Theatrical Drama called "Boiled, Shrimp & Crab". The opening and ending songs were released every bit a digital single, produced past MOS, nether TaWaRa Artistic.[23]

In November 2021, KIHOW and Mili's vocalist Cassie appear a collaboration song, produced past Mili, for Limbus Company past ProjectMoon. On Dec 21st, 2021 "In Hell We Alive, Lament" by Mili feat. KIHOW was released worldwide on streaming platforms as a digital single.

In January 2022, KIHOW announced a collaboration vocal with Touhou Danmaku Kagura called "Don't Unravel*". She was a undercover guest of the live stream for the half year ceremony of the game. She also performed the song. It was included in the game on February quaternary.[28]
